Dear Newhart parents,
Newhart PTA appreciates your support throughout the year! Our membership drive and Panther PIE card donations are PTA’s biggest fundraiser of the year, so feel free to support anytime during the year.
Some of the things PTA pays for:
•    Classroom student support through online programs such as BrainPop, and classroom supplies.
•    Student hands on learning events (Medieval day, Ancient Day)
•    School safety supplies
•    Among many other expenses that support the school, teachers and students in order to continue a quality education for our children.
You can join and donate at: https://newhartmiddleschoolpta.com/

New Volunteer and Visitor Guidelines:
CUSD is now using Raptor to screen volunteers and visitors at our site.

What is the Raptor Technologies School Site Screening Program?
Raptor is a visitor/volunteer management system that enhances school security by reading a visitor's driver license (or other approved state issued picture ID), comparing information to a sex offender database to alert school administrators and local police if a match is found. This is for the safety of all students and staff.  Raptor keeps potential threats out by instantly screening each visitor’s government-issued ID card against the sex offender registries in all 50 states as well as an unlimited number of custom databases.  Raptor lets your school community know visitors are approved by requiring visitors to wear a badge that shows their role type, name, destination, date and time of entry, and photo.

Raptor check-in/out process:
1.         A Government issued picture ID for Raptor check-in is required for all visitors and volunteers each time they come in and will be going further than the front desk, (including the copy/work room area) a visitor sticker must be obtained and worn at all times (this includes PTA/Executive board, Association members, volunteers).
2.         When registering to be a Tier I or Tier II volunteer, please be sure the name that is used matches your legal picture ID (no nicknames).
3.         When signing up for available volunteer positions, please be sure to use the legal name, matching your legal picture ID, (the same name you used when registering for Tier I or Tier II).
Upon leaving, please check out at the front desk.
