Panthers Are Wise Scholars - PAWS

Intervention and Enrichment Time
Tuesday - Friday, after 4th Period

Panthers Are Wise Scholars (PAWS) – is our tutorial, intervention, and enrichment time built-in during the school day Tuesday – Friday. PAWS is a period of time allocated during the day for students to receive extra support, review content, strengthen skills, prepare for a test, make up work when absent, and enjoy enrichment activities. Now more than ever, our Panthers need structure, organization, and help with managing their time.

Newhart Middle School is using 5 Star to schedule our PAWS tutorial sessions. Students will be able to schedule their PAWS sessions from 4:00 PM on Thursdays to 11:30 AM on Mondays. It is the expectation that all students will schedule their sessions prior to 11:30 AM on Mondays. Students who have not scheduled their sessions by the deadline will be called to the office to complete this process and may receive a disciplinary consequence. Students can always ask for help scheduling PAWS from their teachers or at the front office.
