WELCOME TO NEWHART!

Enrollment for the 2025 - 2026 school year starts Feburary 2025. Students attending Bathgate, Bergeson, Castille, Reilly, or Viejo Elementary will not need to enroll as a "New Student." These students will be automatically enrolled with Newhart. and will be invited to attend the 5th Grade Tour fieldtrip to visit our campus in February 2025.

We will have Parent Tours for families that are not currently students of the above elementary schools during the School of Choice application window. Dates will be announced along with a link to register for the tour.

Zero Period for All Students:

Zero period is intended for students with an impacted schedule. Some students with an impacted schedule are in programs such as:

Special Education
English Language Development
Math and English Support
Dual immersion

Keep in mind:

Zero period is a request, but not guaranteed
Bus transportation is not available
Zero Period Contract is required

Mandarin & Spanish Immersion & AVID students:

Your language or AVID class is your 1st choice elective and will be placed on your schedule. If you are interested in a 2nd elective, you will need to take a zero period class. Zero period is not guaranteed and transportation is not provided. Please mark zero period and select you elective choice(s). If you are not interested in a 2nd elective, please only select the "I am a MIP,TWIS or AVID student."

Elective Selection for School of Choice & Inter-District Transfer Students

During the Elective Selection window, please complete the School of Choice or Inter-district transfer application, then complete the Elective Choice Form. Once the form is completed, please email your academic advisor the student name and student ID.
