6th Grade Elective Selections have now closed. Please contact your school counselor for any questions.

Enrollment for the 2025 - 2026 school year is open. Students attending Bathgate, Bergeson, Castille, Reilly, or Viejo Elementary and living within Newhart Middle School's boundaries are automatically enrolled with Newhart.

We are excited to welcome our new 6th Grade Panthers to the Pack on Wednesday, August 13, 2025! Students in attendance will participate in campus tours, activities, games, and much more. Join us for this fun orientation day before school starts!

Zero Period for All Students:

Zero period is intended for students with an impacted schedule. Some students with an impacted schedule are in programs such as:

Special Education
English Language Development
Math and English Support
Dual immersion

Keep in mind:

Zero period is a request, but not guaranteed
Bus transportation is not available
Zero Period Contract is required

Mandarin & Spanish Immersion & AVID students:

Your language or AVID class is your 1st choice elective and will be placed on your schedule. If you are interested in a 2nd elective, you will need to take a zero period class. Zero period is not guaranteed and transportation is not provided. Please mark zero period and select you elective choice(s). If you are not interested in a 2nd elective, please only select the "I am a MIP,TWIS or AVID student."

Elective Selection for School of Choice & Inter-District Transfer Students

During the Elective Selection window, please complete the School of Choice or Inter-district transfer application, then complete the Elective Choice Form. Once the form is completed, please email your academic advisor the student name and student ID.
