INCOMING 6TH GRADE STUDENTS
If you live within Newhart boundaries and your student attends any of the following elementary schools, Castille, Bathgate, Bergeson, Viejo or Reilly Elementary, you will not need to enroll as a "New Student" at Newhart.
 
INTERDISTRICT TRANSFER
The Inter-District Transfer process applies to those parents who wish their children to attend school in a district other than their district of residence.
All Inter-District Transfer requests must be initiated in the district of residence.
 
Inter-District Transfers are valid for one school year only and must be renewed annually.
 
An approved Inter-District Transfer must be in effect between the district of residence and the school district of desired attendance before a student can attend the desired school.

STEP ONE: To enroll your student please complete the CUSD On-line Student Enrollment
STEP TWO: Upon completion on the online form all required documents must be brought onto campus during a scheduled meeting time set by the registrar. Click the link below to view all requirements.

Capistrano Unified School District's School of Choice (SOC) program offers to parents within the CUSD boundaries the opportunity to apply for another CUSD school that they would like their child to attend. If you are interested in applying for the Language Immersion Programs, please visit their website for more information.

The Parent Portal Should be Used for the Following:
  • Annual online summer re-registration
  • Emergency contact information can be updated at any time
  • Real-time period-by-period attendance data
  • Medical Information 
  • The following can be viewed and printed at any time: 
    • Report cards and unofficial transcripts
    • Test scores including college test scores
    • Class schedule
    • Graduation status reports
